To support Cambodia’s hosting of the 20th Francophonie Summit, the Ministry of Tourism, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and relevant agencies, will hold the “Village de la Francophonie” event at Wat Botum Vatey Garden in Phnom Penh from November 13 to 17, 2026.
During the event, national pavilions will be set up for member states of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, alongside artistic performances, cultural exhibitions, conference sessions, thematic exhibitions and food events. The cultural and artistic performance area will showcase the diverse cultures of the Francophone community and provide opportunities for member states to present themselves, while the conference and seminar area will allow public institutions and partners to exchange initiatives and expand bilateral cooperation.
The event is expected to feature around 100 booths and invite public institutions, private enterprises, domestic and international organizations, and development partners to participate. A “Francophone Food Village” will also be held on-site, featuring Khmer cuisine and specialties from Francophone countries, with interactions involving chefs, artisans and communities to promote Cambodia’s tourism and hospitality services.
The Ministry of Tourism hopes that the “Village de la Francophonie” will attract visitors from Cambodia and abroad and become a platform for experiencing language, culture and food. The 20th Francophonie Summit will be held in Phnom Penh from November 15 to 16, with heads of state, heads of government and delegations from more than 90 Francophone states and governments expected to attend.
