The bank expressed support for a project to reduce flood and drought risks in Cambodia.\nThe minister thanked AIIB for its support for Cambodian water and meteorology projects, including integrated water resources management (IWRM), climate-adaptive irrigation and sustainable, resilient agriculture (CAISAR), and flood and drought mitigation.\nThe report describes the cooperation as aligned with Phase One of the Pentagonal Strategy of the government led by Prime Minister Hun Manet during the seventh National Assembly mandate.\nThe minister said Cambodia would deepen cooperation with AIIB, and pointed to the bank’s role in water management investment to improve water security, support economic growth and build climate resilience.
