The report says police questioned a man after a drone was flown without permission on August 22. The drone was held at the Tonle Bassac police post.

A Chinese man from a group of five was brought in for questioning after a drone was launched without permission from the 15th floor of the L.H condominium in Tonle Bassac, the report said. The drone was used to film near Independence Monument and Koh Pich. The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on August 22, 2025.
The report said 34-year-old LIN YONGGUO told authorities that he had flown the drone to capture footage for friends in China and had no other intention. Officers educated and cautioned him, obtained an undertaking and held the drone at the Tonle Bassac administrative police post.
