In Cambodia, the umbral eclipse is expected from about 11:27 p.m. to 2:56 a.m., with totality from about 12:31 to 1:53 a.m. on September 8.

Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television, August 27, Phnom Penh. Cambodia will have a chance to see a total lunar eclipse on the night of September 7–8. During totality, the Moon will be completely within Earth’s inner shadow and may appear dark red, earning it the name blood moon.
Astronomical predictions put the umbral phase from about 11:27 p.m. on September 7 to 2:56 a.m. on September 8, Cambodia time. Totality will last from about 12:31 to 1:53 a.m. on September 8. The eclipse is expected to be visible across Cambodia, weather permitting.
The eclipse will be visible across a wide area, including Asia, Africa, eastern Europe and the western Pacific. The report describes it as the longest since 2022 and says Cambodia’s previous view of a total lunar eclipse was in November 2022.
The Moon can look red because Earth’s atmosphere bends sunlight and scatters shorter wavelengths, allowing more red light to reach the Moon. For the best view, astronomers recommend an open site away from bright lights.
