Tourism Minister Huot Hak met a Yunnan delegation on August 26 and agreed to promote tourism and arrange a familiarisation trip to Cambodia.

Cambodia and China’s Yunnan province agreed to promote tourism development through a familiarisation trip to Cambodia for major Yunnan tourism businesses, organised by the provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
Tourism Minister Huot Hak met executives from major Yunnan tourism businesses on the morning of August 26, including representatives of international companies such as Trip.com. The delegation was led by Ma Zhigang, head of Yunnan’s Department of Culture and Tourism.
The parties agreed to promote tourism more widely and share accurate health and safety information to counter misinformation. They also agreed that the department would soon bring businesses, media, investors and prominent influencers from Yunnan to explore tourism and investment opportunities and discuss partnerships with Cambodian companies.
They exchanged views and experiences on expanding Cambodia–Yunnan tourism cooperation and carrying out development plans to boost travel between the two destinations and from international markets.
