The water resources ministry forecast rain, thunder and gusts across about 30 percent of the province on August 28, with waves up to 1.5 metres.

Cambodia’s Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology forecast rain, thunder and gusts over about 30 percent of Preah Sihanouk province on August 28, 2025. Waves were expected to range from about 0.5 to 1.5 metres.
The ministry said low pressure over the South China Sea was influencing the Andaman Sea, the Gulf of Thailand, the Mekong basin, the southwest monsoon and Cambodia.
The forecast also covered Koh Kong, Kampot, Kep and the Bokor mountain range, as well as Preah Sihanouk.
