Huot Hak’s delegation learned about Yunnan’s broadcasting history and programming for ASEAN audiences.

Kunming — At Yunnan Media Group’s invitation, Tourism Minister Huot Hak led a Cambodian delegation on a study visit on the morning of August 27, 2025. They learned about the history and modernisation of Yunnan’s media, particularly live and multilingual broadcasts for ASEAN countries.
Feng Junyang, deputy head of the publicity department of the Chinese Communist Party’s Yunnan provincial committee, welcomed and accompanied the delegation. Yunnan Radio and Television director Lai Yong and senior staff also attended.
Lai described Yunnan radio’s role from the early years of the Communist Party, its involvement during World War II and its rapid development more recently. He described it as one of China’s three foundational publicity institutions.
