Huot Hak met a Yunnan Media Group delegation in Kunming on August 26 to discuss promoting Cambodian tourism.

Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television, August 29 — Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak met Yunnan Media Group representatives led by Lai Yong in Kunming on August 26. He outlined new opportunities in Cambodian tourism and encouraged media cooperation to attract more visitors from China.
Lai described the group’s upcoming tourism promotion plans, particularly for Chinese visitors to Cambodia, and sought advice on presenting the country. Huot Hak praised its earlier tourism film with Cambodia’s national broadcaster, The Friendly Neighbours, for showing the country’s attractions, safety and hospitality.
The minister said sustainable tourism required collaboration with international media and content creators. He called for accurate, timely and clear promotion that keeps pace with new media, technology and online influencers.
Lai said the group would pursue cooperation, including the ministry’s fifth priority on media and creators. He pledged more joint tourism videos, training for local creators and a major Cambodia–China promotion campaign. The aim, he said, was to attract millions of Chinese visitors, especially from Yunnan and neighbouring provinces, during Cambodia–China Tourism Year 2025.
The station said the exchange strengthened tourism cooperation and gave impetus to the tourism year.
