The visit is intended to build mutual trust and strengthen friendly ties.\nAccording to the Senate, Hun Sen will attend commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day. His delegation includes Tea Banh, a member of the King’s Supreme Privy Council and a CPP vice president, and Men Sam An, also a member of the King’s Supreme Privy Council and a CPP vice president, who chairs the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodia Motherland. Senior officials from ministries, institutions and the legislature will also accompany him.\nAlongside the commemorations, Hun Sen is scheduled to meet separately with Communist Party of Vietnam General Secretary To Lam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. He also plans talks with other foreign leaders attending the commemorations.\nThis will be Hun Sen’s third visit to Vietnam in 2025 as Senate president. The visit reflects Cambodia’s commitment to mutual trust and strong relations with its neighbour at all levels and in all sectors, especially between the countries’ leaders.
