National Road 1 remains open.","body":"The Ministry of Public Works and Transport said the section of Xi Jinping Boulevard from the Road 116A junction at km 2+800 to National Road 1 would be closed from the morning of September 1 until February 1, 2028.\nThe notice said the closure was for construction of the Dei Edth–Thma Kor bridge across the Mekong. Its west end is in Dei Edth commune, Kien Svay district, and its east end in Thma Kor commune, Lvea Em district, Kandal province. Ministry spokesperson Phorn Rim said construction was 23% complete as of early September 2025.\nPhorn Rim said the concrete bridge and approach roads would measure 3,700 metres in total. The bridge itself would be 1,600 metres long and 26 metres wide with four lanes. The approach roads would be 2,100 metres long and 26 metres wide and paved with asphalt concrete. Construction was scheduled for 48 months, with completion planned in 2028.\nThe ministry said light vehicles may use Road 116A and heavy vehicles must use Road 12A.
