Hun Manet called for expanding trade, investment and supply-chain cooperation under the Cambodia–China Free Trade Agreement during his meeting with Xi Jinping.

Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television, September 1. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said expanding bilateral trade and investment with China was essential, particularly through the Cambodia–China Free Trade Agreement.
Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said on September 1 that Hun Manet met Xi Jinping in Tianjin on August 30 during his trip for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit.
Hun Manet thanked China for its longstanding contribution to Cambodia’s economic and social development. He said expanding trade, investment and supply-chain cooperation through the free trade agreement was key to future development. He also expressed hope for continued Chinese support for infrastructure, including the canal project and the Funan Techo water-resource management project.
Xi encouraged the relevant institutions in both countries to work closely so that planned infrastructure projects would be completed on time and deliver practical benefits to both peoples.
