Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen returned on September 2 after attending anniversary events in Hanoi and holding separate talks with Vietnamese leaders.

On September 2, 2025, Cambodian Senate President and Cambodian People’s Party President Hun Sen led his delegation home after visiting Vietnam and attending commemorations for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day.
At the invitation of Tô Lâm, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Hun Sen led a senior delegation to Hanoi on September 1–2 to attend the commemorations.
Alongside the commemorations, Hun Sen held separate talks with General Secretary Tô Lâm, National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn and Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính.
