Cambodia’s Tourism Ministry urged operators to keep prices fair, state service terms clearly and take fire precautions during Kan Ben and Pchum Ben.

Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television, September 5 — In a September 2 notice, Cambodia’s Tourism Ministry asked tourism operators nationwide to keep prices reasonable and improve service during Kan Ben and Pchum Ben, promoting a safe, orderly and welcoming destination.
The ministry called on operators to display prices and service terms clearly and avoid arbitrary increases. It asked them to cooperate with authorities at all levels to keep businesses and public areas safe, orderly, clean and attractive during the festivals.
The notice urged operators to take fire precautions so visitors could enjoy the Buddhist festival safely and comfortably, including care with candles, incense, lamps, stoves and electrical equipment.
Kan Ben and Pchum Ben run from September 8 to 22, 2025. The Buddhist observances are an important part of Cambodia’s religious and cultural life and draw Cambodian and international visitors.
