Preah Sihanouk plans a September 17–20 sports tourism event at Techo Beach, with cycling, running, beach volleyball, table football and cultural displays.

Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television, September 5 — The provincial administration, tourism department and National Olympic Committee of Cambodia announced that a sports tourism event would take place at Techo Beach in Sihanoukville on September 17–20, 2025. It will combine competition, sightseeing and cultural events to attract domestic and international visitors during the green season.
The event will include a 30-kilometre cycling race, a 7-kilometre run, men’s and women’s beach volleyball and table football. Cambodia Cycling Federation secretary-general Nou Chamroeun said 40 had signed up for the ride, with 100 expected.
Cambodian products and food will be on display alongside sports, national dances, traditional music and the Neang Neak dance associated with the province. Organisers said the event would showcase local tourism and help the province build its ability to host major events independently.
Nou Chamroeun said the aim was to bring visitors to Preah Sihanouk through sports and culture and let them experience green-season tourism. He expected the event to contribute to tourism along Cambodia’s coast.
The province and the national Olympic committee hold a half-marathon each year. The sports tourism event, if successful, is expected to draw more competitions and visitors.
