Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet sent congratulations to Anutin Charnvirakul on his election as Thailand’s 32nd prime minister. The following is an English rendering of KPS99 TV’s Khmer translation of the full September 7, 2025, letter to Thailand’s new prime minister:

I extend my warmest congratulations on your election as the 32nd Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand. Your strong victory reflects firm confidence in your leadership. I believe that under your wise and capable leadership, the Kingdom of Thailand will achieve further progress.

Cambodia and Thailand are geographical neighbours and ASEAN members. Peace, harmonious coexistence and shared prosperity between our countries are aspirations shared by our peoples. I therefore firmly hope that our joint commitment to close relations and good cooperation will bring our peoples prosperity, harmonious development and happiness.

In this spirit, I look forward to working closely with you to normalise Cambodia–Thailand relations, rebuild mutual trust and transform our shared border into one of peace, cooperation, development and shared prosperity.
