The National Road Safety Committee urged road users to obey traffic laws during Kan Ben and Pchum Ben, September 8–23, 2025, and help prevent crashes caused by speeding, dangerous overtaking, drink-driving and failure to give way.

To protect people travelling nationwide during the traditional Kan Ben and Pchum Ben observances from September 8 to 23, 2025, the National Road Safety Committee urged road users to actively comply with the Law on Road Traffic and help reduce crashes causing death, injury and property damage.
Most such accidents result from unlawful or careless driving, including speeding, dangerous overtaking, drink-driving and failure to respect priority rights.
The upcoming traditional observances from September 8 to 23, 2025, also coincide with government efforts to coordinate assistance for people displaced by war with an invading enemy.
The National Road Safety Committee called on all road users to pay close attention and participate effectively in preventing and curbing road accidents.
