Public Works and Transport Minister Peng Ponea met a China Railway Design Corporation delegation and said railway development was a priority of the seventh-term government to support economic growth.

Minister of Public Works and Transport Peng Ponea said developing Cambodia’s railway sector was a priority vision of the seventh-mandate government for promoting national economic growth.
He made the remarks at a meeting on the morning of October 21, 2025 with a delegation from China Railway Design Corporation (CRDC), led by its general manager in Cambodia, Zhang Yang. Ministry leaders and relevant officials also attended.
The minister said the meeting was intended to review and discuss the report and findings of CRDC’s research into Cambodia’s railway network plan.
