Gold in Cambodia was quoted at $494 per chi on October 22, 2025, down $56 from the October 17 price of $550.

Phnom Penh: On the morning of October 22, 2025, gold prices in Cambodia fell by $56 per chi after rising sharply in the middle of the previous month. According to official gold-shop quotations, the price that day was $494 per chi, compared with a high of $550 per chi on October 17.
Gold-sector experts said the decline resulted from heavy selling by gold holders after the recent price surge, leaving the market oversupplied. International political factors and uncertainty in the global economy were also contributing to price instability.
International gold prices reached $4,378 per ounce, approximately 8.3 chi, on October 17, before falling to $4,200 per ounce on October 19. On October 22, the price stood at only $4,080 per ounce.
Gold prices in Cambodia had also reached $525 per chi on October 21 before falling to their current level.
