Workers are entitled to three paid days off on November 4–6, 2025 for the Water Festival, and the October wages they are due must be paid before the holiday.

Workers will receive three paid days off on November 4, 5 and 6, 2025, for the Water Festival. October wages must be paid before the holiday.
This is according to a Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training notice on the Water Festival, including boat races, illuminated floats, moon worship and the eating of flattened rice.
The notice calls on owners and directors of enterprises, companies and factories covered by the Labour Law to allow three days of paid leave and arrange wage payments before the holiday.
Where rotating shifts cannot keep a business operating, employers and worker representatives may discuss and agree to work throughout the holiday and take substitute leave at another time.
Workers who do not receive the required paid leave may contact the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training's hotline.
The ministry expressed the hope that employers would comply with the notice.
