Police in Phnom Penh’s Chamkar Mon district, Cambodia, dismantled a suspected online fraud operation, arresting 19 Vietnamese suspects, including five women, and seizing equipment allegedly used in the offences and a pistol.
The raid took place on October 24, 2025, in two rooms, D2702 and D1003, in Block D of Rose Luxury Apartments on Norodom Boulevard in Tonle Bassac commune, Chamkar Mon district.
Police seized several electronic devices during the searches. Digital forensic analysis found that the suspects were involved in several forms of fraud, including forging official documents to deceive people seeking work abroad and conducting online romance scams.
Police have handed the suspects and all seized items over to the Phnom Penh Municipal Police for further investigation and efforts to identify the organisers and the wider cross-border cybercrime network.
Police said they would continue to crack down on criminal groups using technology to commit fraud, firmly protecting public safety and trust.
