On October 24, Preah Sihanouk Governor H.E. Mang Sineth highly commended the leaders, civil servants and young volunteers of the land management, urban planning, construction and cadastral department for their outstanding contributions to public services at an annual work review meeting.
Governor Mang Sineth said the province had made significant progress in land registration across all 111 villages this year, providing residents with more efficient land and construction services. The recognition event reviewed achievements in 2025 and set key tasks for 2026.
Mang Sineth stressed that, to promote Preah Sihanouk’s development, the Cambodian government under Prime Minister Hun Manet had introduced the Special Programme to Promote Investment in Preah Sihanouk Province 2024 and extended it through the end of 2025, providing policy support for local development.
The governor called on departments to strengthen cooperation, improve civil servants’ professional skills and management systems, reinforce professional ethics and promote digital working methods to ensure scientific, efficient and sustainable land planning and land-use management. He also urged improvements to urban and rural land-use planning and the advancement of land development and conservation across the province, helping transform Preah Sihanouk into a model multipurpose special economic zone and achieve modern, sustainable development and well-being along the coast.
The meeting reviewed achievements in land and construction management and clarified future directions, giving new impetus to the province’s economy and urban development.
