The report says more than 1,000 people crossed from Myawaddy into Mae Sot, including 399 Indians, 147 Chinese and 31 Thais, with arrivals continuing to rise.

Myanmar–Thailand: More than 1,000 suspects fled into Thailand to evade a crackdown on scam locations in Myanmar. They included 399 Indians, 147 Chinese, nationals of Vietnam, the Philippines, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Indonesia, Nepal and many other countries, as well as 31 Thai citizens.
The foreigners, suspected of working in scam centres, fled across the border from Myawaddy in Myanmar’s Karen State into Thailand after a crackdown operation targeting KK Park on Monday.
The report says they entered Mae Sot district in Thailand’s Tak province, with the number crossing continuing to rise each hour.
