At a sport and tourism event in Koh Rong, Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth called for better infrastructure and visitor services and greater youth participation in sport.

Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth attended the opening of a sport and tourism event in Koh Rong city on the afternoon of October 29. The event also marked the 21st anniversary of King Norodom Sihamoni's coronation and honoured Cambodia's late monarchs. The governor praised the peace achieved under the country's leadership and the recently signed Cambodia-Thailand peace agreement, saying peace provided a foundation for development and public well-being.
He called for improvements to roads, beaches, public facilities and standard tourist ports, together with better travel, accommodation, food, recreation and cultural services, to give visitors a safe, comfortable experience and support sustainable tourism.
He also encouraged young people to take part in sport and training to improve their health. He said coordination among relevant sectors could help Koh Rong become a model for tourism, sport and culture while supporting the local economy.
