The Interior Ministry reported 2,152 criminal cases in the first nine months of 2025, down 450 year on year, with 2,071 cases cleared.

Cambodia recorded 2,152 criminal cases in the first nine months of 2025, comprising 475 felonies and 1,677 misdemeanours. Authorities cleared 2,071 cases, equivalent to about 96 percent.
Interior Ministry spokesperson Touch Sokhak said the number of cases fell by 450 compared with the same period a year earlier. The cases affected 2,387 victims, including 156 people killed and 682 injured.
Authorities apprehended 3,296 suspects, of whom 993, or about 30 percent, had narcotics detected in their systems. Seized items included eight long guns, 35 handguns, one grenade, 11 improvised weapons, 67 knives and swords, 64 cars, 257 motorcycles and other items. Suspects and evidence in some cases were referred to court for legal proceedings.
Crime increased in six provinces and declined in the other 19 provincial-level jurisdictions, including the capital. Authorities continued efforts to maintain security and public order and prevent and suppress offences.
