In their face-to-face meeting, they praised each other’s important roles in seeking peace in East Asia, particularly in addressing the Cambodia–Thailand border conflict. Citing foreign news agencies, the report said Xi praised US efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and Israel and its signing of the joint declaration on peace between Cambodia and Thailand in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Xi also said China had helped Cambodia and Thailand address their border dispute, though Beijing provided assistance in its own way, differently from the United States. The report recalled that the initial Cambodia–Thailand ceasefire, reached on the night of 28 July 2025, involved the United States, China and ASEAN Chair Anwar Ibrahim, the Malaysian prime minister. China also helped through other measures, including demining assistance and aid for displaced people. The Kuala Lumpur peace agreement, signed by the Cambodian and Thai prime ministers on 26 October 2025, was welcomed by countries including France, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Germany.\nPreah Sihanouk Provincial Television — by ង៉ែត ពិសាន្ត","contentScope":"full","proof":{"publishedSourceRevision":"1","publishedWorkingVersionId":"17375","languageVersionId":"15716","visibilityVersion":"2","versionToken":"a1.5bM3VlTTa9_PSCjVQ4_CHDPlQgc7ykPpwSafwFHfR8s"},"availableLocales":["zh","en","km"],"attributes":{"sourceLocale":"km","translationKind":"machine","nodeId":"12","authorText":"","sourceName":"KPS99TV"},"references":[],"links":[],"publishedAt":"2025-10-31T09:46:42Z"}
