Sixty-five firms exported to 72 countries and territories, with fragrant rice exceeding 60%. A commerce official cited trade-agreement tariff benefits. Cambodia’s milled rice exports grew markedly in the first 11 months of 2025, reaching 801,600 tonnes, up 39% year on year. Export earnings also rose to US$526 million, notably higher than the previous year, in what the report described as steady growth in both volumes and prices. Official figures show that 65 companies participated in milled rice exports this year, supplying 72 countries and territories worldwide. China remained a major import market. Fragrant rice accounted for more than 60% of exports, with broken rice, white rice, parboiled rice, organic rice and other products making up the remainder, reflecting a more diversified rice product range. A Commerce Ministry official said the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the Cambodia–China Free Trade Agreement continued to provide policy benefits for agricultural exports, helping Cambodian rice, bananas, mangoes, longans, Sichuan pepper, durians and other competitive agricultural products enter regional markets, including China, more readily. Greater competitiveness from preferential tariffs was seen as a key driver of this year’s export growth.
