Cambodia’s defence ministry reported on December 10 that 29,105 families, around 101,229 people, had moved to safer areas, with at least seven civilians killed and 20 injured and growing shelter, supply and medical needs.

Cambodia’s Defence Ministry said on December 10 that fighting along the Cambodia–Thailand border had forced more than 100,000 residents to evacuate. It reported that 29,105 families, or about 101,229 people, had moved to safer areas, including infants, pregnant women, older people and persons with disabilities. The report said infrastructure was under pressure and demand for supplies, temporary shelter and medical assistance was rising.
The ministry said Thai forces continued using heavy artillery and F-16 aircraft against military positions and civilian areas in Cambodia. It reported at least seven Cambodian civilians killed and 20 injured, and stressed that the situation was continuing to deteriorate as authorities accelerated evacuations and deployed rescue teams.
