She said Thai firing into Military Regions 4 and 5 that morning violated the ceasefire and the joint declaration on the Cambodia–Thailand peace agreement signed in October.\nThe spokesperson said that, as of the morning of December 11, Thai forces had opened fire into Cambodian sovereign territory in Military Region 4, Oddar Meanchey province, beginning at 04:40 with artillery fire in the Khna temple area. She said Thai forces also attacked Cambodian civilians that morning in Prey Chan village, Ou Bei Choan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, in Military Region 5.\nShe added that Thai forces shelled Prey Chan, a village inhabited by civilians, at 07:52.
