According to Thai media, the DEKO PARK compound located on the Myanmar side has recently attracted attention. The compound faces the Ban Vale Tai area of Tak Province, Thailand, across a river, and the Thai side is reportedly able to observe parts of its interior. Related reports said that people from multiple countries and regions were active inside the compound, with suspected involvement in transnational online scams. Other reports claimed that multiple Chinese citizens may have been abducted and taken to the compound, but no independent evidence has yet confirmed their identities, number or specific circumstances, and the claims remain subject to investigation and confirmation by the relevant authorities. As of now, the relevant parties have not released any further verification results. The incident has once again drawn outside attention to online scams and human trafficking along the Myanmar-Thailand border. Conditions in the border area are complex, and the identities of those involved and the condition of the victims must be confirmed through subsequent announcements by law-enforcement authorities.
