Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak led a delegation including private-sector representatives to China’s Yunnan province to encourage more Chinese tourists, particularly Yunnan residents, to visit Cambodia. The visit was scheduled for August 25–28, 2025, as part of the 2025 Cambodia–China Tourism Year. Prime Minister Hun Manet approved the visit. Angkor International Airport Investment (AIAI) coordinated it with the Yunnan provincial government and the province’s Department of Culture and Tourism. The delegation aimed to strengthen cooperation among Cambodia’s Tourism Ministry, Yunnan’s government and the private sector on both sides, with a focus on increasing travel from China to Cambodia. On August 25 in Kunming, Huot Hak held talks with Yunnan’s Department of Culture and Tourism on closer cooperation and attracting more Chinese visitors.
