Cambodia and Yunnan discuss closer tourism ties

The Cambodian account says Tourism Minister Huot Hak met Yunnan Vice Governor Xu Hao and his delegation on the afternoon of August 25, 2025. They discussed tourism cooperation, and Huot Hak presented Cambodian destinations to encourage more visitors from Yunnan.
The two sides agreed to promote Cambodian destinations to more Yunnan residents under the 2025 Cambodia–China Tourism Year. Yunnan would help attract investors to develop tourism products in Cambodia, where the Cambodian side pointed to official protection and incentives. They also agreed to arrange familiarisation trips for Yunnan journalists and online creators to visit and publicise Cambodian destinations.
