Preah Sihanouk provincial spokesperson ឃាង ភារម្យ described the province as a popular and highly safe tourist destination and invited more domestic and international visitors to travel there. He pledged to protect domestic and international visitors staying in the province so that they could travel with confidence and without worry. He said the province had installed 533 security cameras at 433 locations along public roads and at key sites. The cameras are intended to improve public safety and reduce theft, robbery, traffic offences and damage to public property. ឃាង ភារម្យ stressed that footage from roadside cameras could provide evidence and help law enforcement investigate offences and act quickly. On August 25, Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth chaired a meeting to review camera installation at sites across the province. Roadside installation began in 2019, and 533 cameras had been installed at 433 locations by the time of the report. Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television, by ង៉ែត ពិសាន្ត
