An Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank mission led by David Ginting joined them at Trapeang Thma reservoir in Phnom Srok district, Banteay Meanchey, and the Kbal Hong and Charik Trang waterworks in Pursat. The visits were to help plan irrigation rehabilitation and modernisation. ចាន់ ស៊ីណាត described AIIB as an important development partner in modernising water resources management. He said the project would improve storage and management, help prevent floods and protect water supplies for farming and daily life. He called it an investment in the country’s future and economy. AIIB mission leader David Ginting said the bank was honoured to work with Cambodia to improve water resources and climate management. He said it would continue supporting efforts to make the irrigation system more modern and sustainable. ចាន់ ស៊ីណាត again thanked AIIB as a dependable development partner that helps create new opportunities for Cambodians and the national economy.
