Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth and US Chargé d’Affaires Bridgette L. Walker put up a sign on National Road 4 on the morning of August 28, 2025, to commemorate 75 years of Cambodia–US friendship.
The United States supported construction of the Cambodian–American Friendship Highway, now National Road 4, in the 1950s. The report described it as a symbol of lasting friendship and partnership.
The working visit was themed “Embassy Week in Preah Sihanouk 2025: 75 Years of Partnership and Friendship.” It aimed to strengthen bilateral, people-to-people and economic ties, train law-enforcement and security officials, support health projects and provide consular services to US citizens in the province.
