Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television, September 2. Angkor Enterprise reported that Cambodia welcomed nearly 670,000 international visitors through Angkor pass sales in the first eight months of 2025, bringing in more than US$31 million. Visitor numbers rose 2.72% and revenue 2.42% from the same period in 2024.
In August alone, Angkor welcomed more than 50,000 visitors and earned over US$2 million in pass revenue, up 24.65% and 23.17% respectively year on year. More than US$100,000 of August pass revenue went to Kantha Bopha Hospital. The total allocated to the hospital in the first eight months exceeded US$1 million.
Other Cambodian heritage sites also drew visitors. Koh Ker, the ancient Khmer capital sometimes called the second Angkor, welcomed more than 10,000 visitors and earned more than US$200,000 in the first eight months. In August it recorded 998 visitors and over US$10,000 in revenue. Beng Mealea in Siem Reap province received more than 10,000 visitors and earned over US$100,000, with 1,080 visitors and more than US$10,000 in August alone.
Tourism officials said the resumption of international flights and closer regional cooperation had increased interest in Cambodia’s World Heritage sites, raising pass revenue and supporting public health care.
