The Preah Sihanouk provincial administration, provincial tourism department and National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) are organising a sports tourism event scheduled for September 17–20, 2025, at the Techo Beach venue.
The programme has four sports: a 30-kilometre cycling event, a 7-kilometre run, men’s and women’s beach volleyball, and table football. Cambodia Cycling Federation secretary-general នូ ចំរើន hoped cycling participation would reach 100.
The secretary-general said 40 people had registered for mountain biking and expected 100 for the sports tourism event in mid-September.
Besides the 30-kilometre ride, the organisers scheduled the 7-kilometre run, men’s and women’s beach volleyball and table football. The secretary-general said Cambodian products and food would also be on display.
នូ ចំរើន said the event was intended to attract Cambodian and international visitors during the green season and promote Preah Sihanouk tourism. Alongside sports and displays of Cambodian products and food, there would be a concert, national dances and the Preah Thong and Neang Neak dance associated with the province.
The event will also showcase sports and help the province build the ability to host events independently. The national Olympic committee, Cambodian running-event organisers and provincial administration also hold a half-marathon every year. នូ ចំរើន believed the coastal tourism province could host more events if the September 17–20 programme drew broad support.
