On the night of September 7, people across Cambodia can observe a total lunar eclipse, when the Moon is entirely covered by Earth’s shadow. The event will be visible from beginning to end throughout the country if weather permits, according to astronomy website Time and Date. The reported phenomenon will begin at 11:30 p.m. on September 7 and continue until approximately 3 a.m. on September 8. During the event, the Moon will change from bright white to a striking red, often called a “Blood Moon”. Sunlight passing through Earth’s atmosphere causes this red colour while Earth’s shadow obscures the Moon. Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television — By: ចិន្តា ទីទិ
