Preah Sihanouk governor visits Shanghai: Chinese investment is welcome
Preah Sihanouk’s governor met delegations from two Chinese companies in Shanghai on October 21 to discuss industrial investment and cooperation in the new-energy vehicle sector.

On the morning of October 21, Preah Sihanouk Governor Mang Sineth met separately in Shanghai, China with delegations from Shanghai Ensikai Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. and Zhong’ang Technology Co., Ltd. They held detailed discussions on industrial investment and cooperation in the new-energy vehicle sector.
Mang Sineth said Preah Sihanouk Province was actively promoting industrial diversification and new-energy development and welcomed more Chinese businesses to invest. The provincial government would continue improving the business environment and provide efficient, transparent and convenient services to help Cambodian and Chinese businesses achieve mutually beneficial results.
At the meeting with Shanghai Ensikai Investment Group, company representatives outlined its activities in machinery manufacturing, sustainable industrial investment and industrial-chain integration. The group hoped to learn more about Cambodia’s investment environment and development potential, particularly in Preah Sihanouk Province.
Mang Sineth then met the Zhong’ang Technology delegation. The company is a large electric-vehicle manufacturer whose main activities are the research, development and production of electric tricycles, lighting equipment and special-purpose vehicles. Its representatives said they planned to visit Cambodia to study the market and assess the feasibility of building a factory in Preah Sihanouk Province.
