The delegation was welcomed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport by senior Malaysian defence officials and Cambodian diplomats, including Rear Admiral Ahmad Shafirudin Bin Abu Bakar, Assistant Chief of Staff for Planning, Development and Strategy, and Cambodia's ambassador and defence attaché in Malaysia. Tea Seiha said he expected the meeting to proceed in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, focusing on strict implementation of previous agreements and the withdrawal of heavy weapons under the observation of ASEAN observers.
