The United States and Cambodia have agreed on a trade arrangement that would give US exporters unprecedented tariff-free access to the Cambodian market.
According to a White House statement dated 26 October 2025, Cambodia agreed to eliminate all tariffs on US goods, including food, agricultural products and industrial goods, meaning US exports to Cambodia would not face customs tariffs.
Cambodia committed to greater transparency for US exports, including recognition of US regulatory requirements so that American goods would not have to meet additional testing requirements. The report says US exports to Cambodia would no longer face a competitive disadvantage compared with other trading partners.
The decision followed talks between Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and US President Donald Trump in Malaysia, where the Cambodia–Thailand peace agreement was signed.
