Farm Fresh Group, a major Malaysian dairy-farming company, has partnered with Cambodia’s Alpha Group to invest in a dairy farm and a factory producing canned milk (described as «ទឹកដោះគោឆៅកំប៉ុង» in the original) in Cambodia. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding on 26 October, at a ceremony presided over by Sun Chanthol, First Vice-President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC). The report describes Farm Fresh as Malaysia’s largest dairy-farming company, with around 14,000 cows. Neak Oknha Ly Kunthai, Alpha Group chairman and Cambodia Chamber of Commerce vice-president, said the partnership would expand production of fresh milk and milk products described in the original as «ទឹកដោះគោឆៅ» to meet rapidly growing demand. Sun Chanthol said: “The memorandum exchanged by [the companies from the two countries] on this occasion is designed to establish cooperation in expanding Farm Fresh Berhad’s business operations and investment in Cambodia’s fresh-milk product supply chain, helping meet market demand.” The report says Cambodia currently requires around 100,000 litres of fresh milk daily, while total local daily production is only about 20,000 litres, with just four major dairy-farming companies. As of 2024, Cambodia had four major dairy farms producing more than 13,000 litres a day, equivalent to approximately five million litres a year. Preah Sihanouk Provincial Television. By: ង៉ែត ពិសាន្ត
