On the evening of December 4, Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen responded on social media to a video recently circulating on the Thai side that allegedly showed mines being laid. He questioned the video's authenticity and pointed to several details he said did not match professional procedures. Hun Sen said that, while the video attempted to depict certain scenarios, its overall filming approach, choreographed movements and technical execution contained obvious flaws. He stressed that, if those involved intended to create a credible scene, they should at least ensure a more rigorous script, movements closer to real practice, and participation by people familiar with the relevant professional procedures. He further said the production team also lacked filming skills and convincing scene presentation, making its content difficult to believe. He suggested that, if similar footage were to be made in the future, the director and camera crew should improve their professional standards to avoid misleading the public or causing unnecessary misunderstandings through poor technical execution.
