The Cambodian government has sought every available diplomatic means to secure the release and return of 18 Cambodian soldiers. These efforts include direct contact with Thailand, consultations with regional and international leaders, and coordination with all relevant international organisations, according to a December 3 statement by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The ministry spokesperson said the government had continued its tireless efforts for 127 days, using every diplomatic avenue to push for the release of all 18 soldiers.
