Phnom Penh raids at three homes lead to detention of 26 Chinese nationals

Cambodia’s state news agency, citing the anti-scam commission secretariat on May 23, 2026, reported that 26 Chinese nationals were detained at three homes in Chbar Ampov and Sen Sok on May 22. Twenty-two reportedly could not produce passports. The people and equipment were transferred to Phnom Penh police.
