Upper Tatay pumped-storage project plans 1,000 MW capacity and about US$1 billion investment

Cambodian Mines and Energy Minister Keo Rottanak described Upper Tatay as a project supporting green energy and electricity storage. The China National Heavy Machinery Corporation investment is reported at about US$1 billion, with planned capacity of 1,000 MW and completion targeted for 2029.
